I apologise that this is very incorrectly labeled as "Air Box". This label of "Airbox" is likely the #1 myth on the Hinckley Bonneville range. It is NOT an airbox, it's just an air filter housing with sound muffling qualities. It is actually an Intake filter Housing, not an Airbox. An airbox on a bike would be much larger.
This is an intake filter holder, as well as a sound reducer via the baffles inside that reflect pulse waves back into each other, and the rubber snorkel like attachment muffling any vibrations that may cause noise. Think of a rubber reed for a wind instrument. It wouldn't sound right.
At any rate, it's a good photo of a stock unit for reference.
