Luggage Recommendation

Just acquired a used 05 1200 with 3,000 miles. Anybody have a recommendation on the expanding paniers vs the aluminum lugguge boxes? thanks

Are we talking about the GS? If so, you need to be wealthy to acquire the aluminum rigid panniers. Jessie makes a nice set...for a price.

I would consider the Cortech sport luggage as a good alternative to the rigid Panniers. It's reasonably priced and it looks good.

Of course you'll have to demean yourself a bit because the Cortech offerings are popular with the KLR crowd (I know, I have a set on my 08).

Maybe it's my taste but I've never developed a taste for the rigid aluminum panniers. They make the svelte Beemer look like it's a fat bottom girl and make the KLR look even worse.

If you have to take that much stuff with you on any tour of any length, you need to rethink your game plan.
