Question Considering a new seat

My VFR still has it's stock seat, which isn't that bad but I've seen pics of similar Interceptors with custom seats on them.

I spend most of my time tied to a computer, and do more hard riding around NW and N-Central Arkansas than anywhere else. However, some long-distance rides are going to come up again soon.

Any Recommendations?

Re: Considering a new seat

Shawn,
I'm going to try this guy very soon, like maybe next week -

I've heard nothing but good, and for roughly US$75 bucks, I think it's worth a try. Also from what I've heard, the turn around time is super pronto, as in 48 hours or so.

I do all day runs virtually every Sat and Sun. I'm OK, but the wife complains after a couple of hours and needs a "seat break". Hopefully, this will solve it??

Regards,

Bob

Re: Considering a new seat

That is an interesting option that I didn't consider.

It takes a small bit of effort to make sure that I'm "on" the tank. When my body is separated from the tank, I'm resting on my hands/wrist too much.

This may be a cue to go back to an Italian sportbike, or a larger sport-touring option. The clip-ons are so low in some cases that you're pulled to the tank

Or do you think this guy could change the angle of my stock seat pushing me towards the tank, while providing a bit of extra padding?
