Sat on my first Thunderbird Today!

I rode over to Tulsa to see the new Triumph Dealer:

Roadhouse Motorsports Tulsa Oklahoma's Finest Victory, Triumph, Indian, Polaris Dealer

They are an impressive operation, but they need to move the Triumphs to the front of the store - not the back

Anywho, the Triumph Thunderbird is much larger (and heavier) than I had thought. It has the largest vertical twin engine that I've ever seen. Tulsa is a bit of a cruiser territory, so it was understandable that they had several Thunderbirds on the floor in different colors and options. One was loaded with a monster windscreen, floorboards for both rider and passenger, and a set of hardbags.

Didn't get the opportunity to hear one start up. The sales person was a nice guy, but another onlooker was giving off buying signals so he started focusing on him.

Two other impressive bikes was a red/white Thruxton (love those bar-end mirrors) and an 2009 Orange Speed Triple w/Arrow Exhaust. That orange color reminded me of a 1995 Orange T3 Speed Triple that I used to gawk at ... those were the days.
