Re: introducing

Larry in Stroud, Oklahoma. I ride an '03 T-100 Bonneville and an '07 Tiger 1050.

Wade and Shaun are familiar sounding names. Wade, did you used to ride a Trident? Did I meet you on the way to the Branson Raid with Dave? Shaun, did I meet you on the ride over in Arkansas where our group stayed at Eureka Springs for the night and you and Dave joined us the next morning?

Rides: 2007 Triumph Bonneville Black

Re: introducing

Bob from Illinois, ride an '07 Bonneville Black, thus far 8100 perfect miles. Sorry, no bike pics yet, will get busy this weekend.

Been riding off and on since '69, a vast array of bikes, some Japanese, mostly Triumph.

No mods on this one yet, as the bike is under warranty until next March, but some accessories, and a K&N Air filter with air bleeds out 3.5 turns.

Accessories: Triumph Roadster Windshield, Corbin Tank Bag and Sport Saddle Bags. Triumph High Sissybar, Newbonneville Saddlebag racks, newbonneville Handle Bar Risers

Planned this winter: Bafflectomy, Airbox Tuning, Gas Flow Heads. Air/Fuel Gauges, Vacuum Gages.

Like: Tinkering with bike engines to produce nice low-end, usable torque. Long (4 to 6 hour) rides on Saturdays and Sundays with the wife. Scenic drives with tons of turns, hills, good photo opportunities.

Dislike: City riding, loud pipes, loud people, cyber "tough" guys, stubborn and opinionated mechanics, and especially self appointed know it all's!

Favourite folks: Guys (and gals) that are open minded, flexible, unprejudiced, and willing to openly share ideas and opinions.

Sincerely looking forward to having some good, insightful discussions on most any subject, except politics, religion, and anti-American blather. Primarily Technical stuff, as I know we can't "save the world" through this forum... but I guess we might try!

HOWDY!

I hear ya'!

I've been involved with "another" forum for the past 2 years, and was truly amazed at how thorughly worked up folks would get, and how if someone disagreed with their personal opinions... kaboom!

You want to pat them on the back and say softly "It's only a forum... it's only a forum..."

Let's do our best - Please - to make sure this forum doesn't become another "do it my way or you're a jerk" forum. I like the idea of having those types of sensitive subject discussions off in another area. Folks can flail their arms and jump up and down... and no one gets injured!

See ya'
