Be patient. You'll be able to buy a Dynojet motorcycle dyno from them at the auction...for yourself.

Not to hijack the thread, but anyway...
This "Dyno" subject is very frustrating. I've done a few "mad scientist" mods on my bike this winter, and just want to establish a new baseline.
Made six (6) calls the past 2 days, and here are some actual quotes from these calls:
"Triumph? Who makes those?" (click)
"Sorry man... we only work on Harleys". (click)
" We don't have anything to check the A/F ratio... why do you need to know that?" (click)
"Keihin Carburetors? Are those Fuel injected?" (click)
" Cost? Well... $150 each for the Dyno runs, and we always do three. $85.00 an hour to adjust the carbs, and we fiqure about 4 hours on that..." That's $790.00, plus whatever parts we use..." (click)
" Yeah, I think we have a dyno out back... pretty sure... we haven't used in in a while... Triumph? Never heard of.." (click)
So...
1.) These were ALL on the Dynojet locator list. Screw those lists from now on. Proof once again that merely buying a machine or a technology does not automatically guarantee knowledge.
2.) Seems like a LOT of amatuers are out there butchering up bikes.
3.) Sometimes I feel like I have "Fool" tattooed on my forehead (but they wouldn't see that over the phone).
4.) I don't think I'll waste time - and money - having her Dyno'd. I don't want to encourage these psuedo- mechanics. In the end, who cares anyway. I KNOW the improvements worked, I can feel it.
5.) Reason number 5347 why you should always wrench your own bike, and never let anyone else touch it. Sorry.
Lastly, maybe I WILL find a secondhand Dyno somewhere. Could be fun!
I'm taking the bike over to my "Triumph" only dealer. Called him late yesterday. Great guy, wise, experienced, thorough and un-opinionated. He wrenches on Triumph's only, and has been for 30+ years. I let him take her for a spin just for the heck of it, and he gives me honest and straight-forward feedback.
Better than a Dyno, sez me.
