I learned that my local dealer will be able to offer Honda Financing at 3% on the new VFR1200, and that the new bikes will arrive in March.

IMO, your VFR 800 is altogether a much better bike than the VFR 1200. My advice would be to extensively test ride the latter prior to getting rid of the former. And not to be lured by Honda's financing and/or "romantic trips to Paris", as currently advertised in the UK. Over here, in continental Western Europe, the trade press seems to be...er... ill at ease with the VFR 1200.

I, for one, if I were on the market for that sort of bike, I'd rather pick the BMW in-line 4 1300cc.

Best. Jamie

Re: Financing on VFR1200

I'll admit that for the money, getting an S1000RR when it's available may be a better deal. Like the magazines, some of the feedback I've heard about the vfr1200 has been mixed. This spring will be an interesting time when the test rides take place.

I never test-rode my first VFR, other than sitting on it in the showroom. Didn't hear it start up until after it was purchased, but there is so much info on the bike the actual didn't surprise me.

To your point, the VFR1200 will warrant a test-ride beforehand.
