| Re: MotoGP Indianapolis - Should it be allowed to continue? They updated the road course at Indy a few years back for F1 before they bailed. If a track meets F1 standards it should be good enough for any series. The complaint from most of the riders was it was getting hot and "greasy". Colin Edwards pulled into the pits half way thru because he had had enough, I think maybe the young racers death may have weighed on his mind. Ben Spies ran his best GP race and looked like he might win it till the factory bikes caught him up. He is going to be great on the factory Yammy next year.
I don't like Indy for GP because it is not a motorcycle track, it's flat and just to huge. I'd love to see those GP bikes rip around Barber.
As for the 13 year old who died this was a sad situation. He went down on the warm up lap and was hit by another rider. Kids start moto racing at a young age especially dirt and there is risk involved. It must be tough on his family right now. My wife has refused to let my son have a bike and I haven't fought her on it so far, maybe I'll revisit it when he's 16.
