Rides: 2007 Triumph Bonneville Black | Iron Horse Hotel, Milwaukee Upon hearing of this Hotel, my first gut reaction was to lambast it, as it looks possibly "elitist", but upon closer examination... http://www.theironhorsehotel.com/mot...-the-rider.php
Maybe it's not so bad. Roughly $149 a night, and the rooms look pretty decent. Treats for the bike too. Close to the Harley Museum as well. Milwaukee has a fantastic Zoo, and a great, rebuild waterfront restaurant row. A little yuppie-ish, but how much of a elitist yup can ya' be in Milwaukee?
Unbeatable roads just west, and north of town. Kettle Moraine area, twisty's, tons of country lanes. Definitely on the "to-do" list.

Rides: 2007 Triumph Bonneville Black | Re: Iron Horse Hotel, Milwaukee I was wondering about that myself. I couldn't help but notice that in the "sepia"(?) colored box, the ever-changing photos occassionally suggest maybe some weird and/or mysterious goings ons?
Is this all inclusive maybe in the 'super deluxe' package, yet not
mentioned?
What does this have to do with the hotel's "Biker" image... or did I miss something? Are those "Bike-ette's"
Chances are that I couldn't partake, since the missus would be with me, but it's always good to know such things exist... or do they? |

The 'visual' of two wheeled pirates 'belly-ing up' to the registration desk.....I'd love to be sitting across the street to watch...LOL!! Too much...!
Oh & BTW...Happy Easter to all! Ride Safe.

I like the Miluakee area. I like the girls there too. I remember a few trysts in my younger days. Wisconsin girls have a nice accent when they talk.
Me, I prefer the Super 8. My bikes don't impart a message after riding and you can always commandeer a towl from the shower to wipe you bike down...I always do. That's what housekeeping is for.
I've never paid 140 bucks for a room anywhere domestically and I don't plan on it.
I wonder if they openly welcome MV Agusta riders??

All it takes is the proper lubrication and I don't mean KY either.
I have this visual of yuppie sudo bikers at the bar, sipping Samuel Adams and telling lies........................
It's like Stugis. Tow your bike behind the motorhome and 50 miles from Sturgis, unload it and ride it in. True grit. Only in America...at least for now.
I wonder if I get a discount with my AARP card? |

Costumed "bikers" sippin' overpriced trendy foriegn beers whilst munchin" on appetizers I can't quite pronounce correctly? ("Bree-osh?")
Internal Auditers masquerading as weekend "bad-ass" bikers lookin' down their collective noses at the lowly "Triumph" rider? ("Do they still make those?")
Identically attired "Rebels" polishing up (or having polished!) their two year old identical rides that have <500 miles on the odometer? ("Do you use Zymol?")
Paying $149.00 to be disgusted?
No thanks. I give it 4 "Thumbs down". |

To your point, I can hook up my iPod for music and video in any room - but probably couldn't walk next door to a liquor store (unless it was in Eureka Springs ).
On the other hand, that girl in the shower has still got me wondering - I mean, what if she was Sarah Palin  |

You'll need to put an ADV bike in the garage for that. Your VFR isn't Alaska material.
I can't give any hotel or motel 4 thumbs down unless it's a flea bag owned by a turban twister. I bet the amentities in the HD palace are over the top. I'll bet too, that no one there would know that Triumph is the oldest surviving manufacturer of motorcycles in the world either. There...the world revolves around Hardley. |

I think this one is a little more like it, and very affordable. For the transient rider, there's even a "bunkhouse" rate! |
