Rain, Rain

Finally went away. After two weeks of relentless heavy down pouring rain the sun has made an appearance. It's like a tropical forest around here today. This is the longest I've been off my bike in a while, may go hit a bike night or something tonight. The rain is supposed to resume in two days for god knows how long.

I've been feeling it. Had an allergy attack yesterday and had to make a rare visit at my allergist's office for a cortizone/steroid shot.

Re: Rain, Rain

Yeah, I've seen your weather stuff on the news, bummer. On the bright side... good for the local farmers maybe? Hope so.

We had a touch of the same here in Illinois lately. Not quite so hard 'a rain as you've experienced, but wet, and relentless.

Super Sunny today (May 7) finally, and GREEN!!!

Let's all vow to ride tonight.

Ride Safe.

Bob

..............It's making my taters grow.

How does a little rain stop riding? Suit up and go for a spin.

I don't think you understand, I mean torrential heavy flooding tornadic rain lots of lightning. Couple of weeks ago when it all started went out "geared up" came home looking like a drowned rat.

Re: Rain, Rain

This morning folks were wondering if the Tornado Warning was going to sound off again. Then I heard that some part of the upper NW area was contemplating a "managed" increase in lake levels in order to overcome a potential flood issue.

I've got to do a bit of travel this weekend anyway, hopefully next weekend things will have settled down.

Re: Rain, Rain

News said we have gotten as much rain in one week as we did the whole month of May last year. Saw a show at the AMP (outdoor ampitheater) last Friday in a tornado warning.

Wow. I was watching the news this morning, and feel for you guys down there. Keep a stiff upper lip, maybe clean up the bike, do some routine maintenance items.

Sunshine will be coming soon.

Re: Rain, Rain

Put the new K&N air filter in today, also changed the fuel filter. I passed on the $50 Triumph fuel filter though went to O' Reilly's and got a Wix for $4.

Re: Rain, Rain

Saw something on the local news about a Jet Stream that goes right through the mid-section of the US, crossing Oklahoma and Arkansas. Apparently it is what is causing our unusual weather.

While some of our normal humidity exists, it is cooler than it should be right now.
