Tire / Rubber / Vinyl Protectant

I found this stuff while perusing around - it's available online, at "Murrays Discount Auto Parts", and at Ace Hardware. Check local distributors thingee on the website.

303 Products, Inc.: 303 Aerospace Protectant Protects Rubber Tires - Tire Tech Facts

Works great. It's not greasy / slippery like amor-all or various other 'shiney tire' stuff.

Seems like they put a great deal of effort into R&D, and developed a real "protectorant" Vs a way to make your tires shiney and slippery.

I'll keep all informed as to long term use, but so far, it looks like a very good, functional and sensible product. Tires look "new", not fake new?

Obviously for sidewalls only. It doesn't state specifically, and it's not greasy, but for what it's worth, I wouldn't spray it on the pavement contact areas of the tire. Common sense.

A good write up on tire life as well.

Ride Safe!

Re: Tire / Rubber / Vinyl Protectant

On my VFR, the pavement-contacting area of the tires is very close to the rim.

However, this is good to know when the economy turns around and I get my Bobber.

Damn tires don't last long enough to look old.

Thumbs up Re: Tire / Rubber / Vinyl Protectant

September, 2010, just over one year later...

Long Term report: This stuff is fantastic. Use it on tire sidewalls, seat, all rubber hoses and whatever. Any plastic, rubber or vinyl components, Also use it on the car tires as well. The nice thing about this product is that it makes the tires look like brand new, not artificially shiny or greasy, etc. An added bonus is that isseems to make the sidewalls STAY like new as well, and appears as if it never wears off.

Hard to find (some Ace Hardware stores have it, some don't - call ahead), but well worth it.

5 stars, out of 5.

Ride Safe!

Bob
