Another Bike?

Traded the CBR Saturday, picked up this fine example of an '04 BMW R 1100 S. I know I'm a complete bike whore.

Nice Machine.

One of the reasons I created this site is for those who love bikes, regardless of where they come from.

Re: Another Bike?

Shaun,

Really like the new BMW, great ride.

I know you had some issues with the CBR, but I wasn't aware you were at the "trade-in" stage.

The dealer... or the bike? Which forced the decision, or neither.

You'll love that BMW, I'm green with envy! But... aren't BMW riders snobbish, and elitist? Teutonic, stiff backbone guys with no sense of humor, and fierce, combed back hair? Will you still associate with mere low-life mortals such as us?

Ride safe!

Bob

Re: Another Bike?

I was at a crossroads with the CBR, it was a great bike that I enjoyed. There were issues that could not be resolved however that I couldn't live with. When I saw the BMW on the lot I took it as a sign to go back to the Euro bikes. The dealer did what they could and made the trade easy when the problems couldn't be resolved, corporate Honda was a different story.

I love the BMW, it is a different animal than what I have had in the past but what a great machine. Now I have no excuses to put off those long trips

I have been working on my BMWness with phrases like "nice bike, do you like it" and will have to cull some of the undesirables from my riding buddy's list.
