Cool Re: Ice Storm 2.0

I'm prepped this time:
  • Honda Generator
  • 12-Hour rechargeable flashlight
  • A couple MagLights
  • Several lamps with energy-efficient bulbs
  • UPS on my computer gear for short sessions online
  • Oil Lamp
  • 5-gallon gas container
  • Candles
  • low-power 720p LCD TV, SAT Receiver, and a wii
We won't be able to run everything in the house, but we'll be warm and clean with working refrig and freezer. If we get tired of Microwave and toaster-oven food, we'll order pizza

Bring It On!

If the whole area is wacked with an ice-storm, what makes you sure the "Pizza" joint will be as well prepared as you?

Anyway, what a bummer. Looks like you've got just about everything covered.

Any landscape plants to worry about? We've lost some small cedars, and boxwood shrubs especially don't like ice. There is some speciall stuff you spray on them for protection, but unfortunately the name eludes me (Wilt-Pruf?)

Ride Safe (and ice-free!)

Bob

Re: Ice Storm 2.0

Fortunately the ice didn't stick like it did last year and turned over to snow. Lot's of it had the wife's Subaru out cutting some new tracks this morning.
