The "new" AJS Motorcycle??

This "resurrection" stuff may be getting out of hand.

Is this for real?

Welcome to AJS Motorcycles Ltd.

Why do I smell "rip-off", amoung other things? Check out the historic photos and attempted links to the past. Sad.

Ride Safe (whatever the "new" Brand name)!

Re: The "new" AJS Motorcycle??

AJS = NWZ. Newbie Wannabie Zombie (sorry, I could not resist the rhyme), rather than a divinely resurrected motorcycle brand.

BTW, AJS is best remembered because of the 7R 350cc single, a kind of a smaller Norton Manx if memory still serves, and the magnificent "Porcupine" parallel twin OHC 500cc.

Ooohh! I can get that Bobber after all, hey it's just 125cc but who cares. All it's going to be used for is Coffee Shop Runs and the occasional jaunt to Dickson Street (Pub Alley).

Re: The "new" AJS Motorcycle??

They're re-branded Chinese motorcycles. The original manufacturer is Lifeng Group Co. Ltd. and they're ususally sold under the name of "Regal Raptor". Like most importers of Cheapo Chinese bikes they change the name and some even pretend the design and manufacture is their own.

As Chinese bikes go it's fair to say that those are pretty good. The finish is surprisingly good and the reliability fair.
