Being the type of person that doesn't want to push others during their family time, I left early this morning and did a decent amount of 85-mph-safe backroads until roughly 10:30am when I stopped at Rocoe's in Eureka Springs for Java and a
local Cinnamon Roll.
There were a lot of bikes out this morning, most were dressers or Wings. I did pass a few sportbikes, but it seems that the number of Adventure-style motorcycles is increasing - even though they are still a minority. An impressive KTM was parked next to my bike a the coffee shop with bright-orange plastic side baskets. There was also a beautiful gloss-black 2009 FJR with side cases and a Givi Top Box. It also had a Muzzy Exhaust and a Zumo GPS - a very impressive machine. A couple harleys showed up (yes, they drank coffee with us).
The locals started to come in, so I decided to get back on the road and fell into the Labor Day Traffic. Even north of Eureka, it was bumper to bumper. I zoomed around a couple times, but even when I got into the Rogers city limits drivers just got more aggressive and didn't let up on the bypass. Ended up hopping off at the XNA Exit and took 16 back into Fayetteville.
Should have got up earlier
