...A motorcycle for the rider who is unable to balance a motorcycle but wants to ride anyway....
A fellow who lives a few miles from me has one. It's yellow, bright yellow, the original model (last year).
It's an interesting concept much like the Piaggo MP3 is with a bigger motor and more refinements.
It will pose some interesting and unique problems. Is it a motorcycle, licensed as a motorcycle or a 3 wheel automobile, licensed as a car? Do you need a motorcycle endorsement, a 3 wheel motorcycle endorsement (some states like Ohio require a 3 wheel endorsement). How do insurance companies recognize it? Does it insure like a car or motorcycle? Finally, aside from the 'wow and unique factor' what is the real world riding like? I can tell from experience because I have a 3 wheel outift...the bike and sidecar, that what most motorcyclists on 2wheeled bikes consider normal traffic situations become much more difficult on a 3 wheeled machine. Factors like vehicle width and cornering differences become readily apparent and have to be dealt with.
I strongly suspect that it will never become overly popular because of the unique attributes but it's a nice alternative to putting your feet down at a stoplight.
