In the list of "Top Ten" misunderstood motorcycle myths (MMM'S!), this "bellmouth" concept would be right up there.
The object is to shape an inlet to allow for the best opportunity to pass the maximum amount of air across an opening, without experiencing disturbing air turbulance, siphoning effects or boundary air layers preventing maximum flow opportunities..
It's not "Ram Air"
It's not "More Air"
It's not "Forced" air.
These bellmouths are often used in different shapes and forms on velocity stacks, therefore many folks get confused

because they believe that is
ALL that bellmouth entrances are used for. Read closely and study

If you are bringing air into... something, consider it.

Ride Safe (and efficiently)!
